All Media Show at Artworks - Richmond

If you don't have anything to do Friday night, here is a suggestion.  Artworks is having it's 4th Friday Art Event tomorrow.  It is being held from 7pm-10pm and parking is free.  The Offering will be providing the music.  The exhibits will last through May 20, but sounds like the most fun part of it will be tomorrow night.

I submitted 3 pieces to the Artworks All Media Juried exhibit.  Since I have not submitted work to them before, I wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleased to find out that all three were accepted.  Not bad!   Click here if you would like to see more info on the specs of the All Media show.

I am planning to check out the exhibit tomorrow after noon.  From the sample of works I saw submitted, this is looking to be an interesting show!

"Time for Boating" - I have walked this trail so many times, but on this particular day, I was caught off-guard with the beauty at this spot.   View more here. 

"Bicycle at the Lake" - The retro design of the bike is what inspired me to stop and here and capture this scene.  The girl who owned the bike apologized that the bike was in my way.  She felt much better when I told her I was glad it was there!  View more here. 

"Approaching Storm" - I went to this spot soley to wait for a beautiful sunset.  This summer evening had other plans in mind.  Even though it wasn't quite what I had in mind, I love how this turned out.  Since I was at the lake, it was cool to see the storm move just to my left and I stayed dry!  View more here.
